Our studio is equipped with a UV-C filtration system that is built into the walls and operates continuously to provide fresh, clean air for our clients to breathe.

  • What should I bring to class?

We recommend that you bring your own yoga mat and water bottle to class. While we do have some mats and water available for use, it is always best to come prepared. We also suggest arriving 5-10 minutes before class to give yourself time to get settled and ready for your practice.

  • What should I wear to class?

  • How should I prepare for a class with Infrared heat?

Be sure to hydrate well before, during, and after class. It is also recommended to bring a towel and water bottle to class. In addition, it is recommended to wear comfortable, breathable clothing. Avoid wearing synthetic fabrics, as they can trap sweat and make you feel uncomfortably hot.

UV-C FAQ

  • What is the UV-C filtration system?

The UV-C filtration system is a device that is installed in the walls of the yoga studio to provide continuous ultraviolet protection against airborne pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. It uses UV-C light to purify the air and keep it fresh and clean.

  • How does the system work?

The system combines an ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) chamber and air circulating fans to allow for 24/7 operation in occupied spaces. It can treat a volume of air equivalent to a 10’ x 10’ x 8’ room, four times per hour. This means that the air in the yoga studio is constantly being purified and refreshed.

  • What are the benefits of the UV-C filtration system?

The UV-C filtration system improves the quality of the air in the yoga studio, reduces the presence of bacteria and viruses, reduces odors and reduces settling of particles in the air. This ensures that the air you breathe during your yoga practice is as clean and healthy as possible.

  • How does the UV-C filtration system protect against COVID-19?

Studies have shown that UV-C light can be a meaningful defense against airborne pathogens, including COVID-19. The UV-C filtration system at GLO Yoga is constantly working to purify the air and reduce the presence of any harmful pathogens, including COVID-19.

  • Is the UV-C filtration system safe?

Yes, the UV-C filtration system is safe. The UV-C light is enclosed in the device and does not pose a risk to human health. The system is also designed to be out of sight and out of the way, so you won’t even know it’s there during your yoga practice.

  • How can I be sure the UV-C filtration system is working effectively?

The UV-C filtration system is constantly working and is monitored by our team to ensure its effectiveness. You can also rest assured that our team is taking every precaution and following all guidelines to keep our studio as clean and safe as possible.

  • How can I learn more about the UV-C filtration system?

If you have any further questions about the UV-C filtration system, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team. We are more than happy to provide any additional information or answer any questions you may have.
